CONSTRUCDEAD: DVD Recording Cancelled
March 23, 2005CONSTRUCDEAD, the Swedish band featuring TERROR 2000 drummer Erik Thyselius, have posted the following message on their official web site:
"Very bad news! When we where in the rehersal studio this weekend Christian's [Ericson, guitar] kneecap came out of its socket! Because of this, Christian has to go through knee surgery the day before the gig [at Kolingsborg in Stockholm on April 1], so unfortunately we had to cancel the gig! We hope to be able to record the live DVD at a gig sometime in the future! The other bands playing the gig will still play, so make sure you still go there to support them!
"The good thing coming out of this is of course that we can concentrate 100 percent on the new material that we will start recording on April 4th! The last few weeks have been very hectic for the band, and the fact that we´re not going to be able to play the gig on the 1st gives us more space, energy and time to work with the new songs!"
As previously reported, CONSTRUCDEAD's third full-length album will be recorded at Fear And Loathing Studio (co-owned by CLAWFINGER and MESHUGGAH) with producer Jocke Skog (CLAWFINGER) and is scheduled for release before the end of the year.
CONSTRUCDEAD will release their new EP, "Wounded", on April 13 in Sweden and April 18 in the rest of the world.
The CD, which was recorded at Fear And Loathing, will contain three brand new songs and the "Wounded" video.
CONSTRUCDEAD, who recently announced the the addition of bassist Johan Magnusson (ex-CARNAL FORGE guitarist) to the group's ranks, released their sophomore album, "Violadead", in early 2004 through Sound Pollution Records. The CD was recorded and mixed at Helsingborg's Queenstreet Recording with producer Richard Larsson and features a guest appearance by SOILWORK vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid and ex-SOILWORK drummer Henry Ranta in the track "Bitter End".
